If not, we’re always available at the end of the phone or via email to chat with you about any queries you may have.
So, without further ado, over to our 2026 Gold Residential participants…

Travelling Solo & Meeting New People
Will I make friends easily? What’s the atmosphere like?
Bea: I went by myself and everyone was so welcoming and supportive. I was nervous before I came but it has been an amazing experience. Everyone got along really well.
Holly: I have gotten to meet new people and gain new friends. I highly recommend the trip.
Lilia: I had an amazing time on my residential! I met some amazing people!
Abbie: Overall I completely loved this experience and have made so many friends from it!
Some parents thoughts on this…
Sarah: My son had an amazing week for his DoE Gold Residential. He was completely out of his comfort zone going away by himself with people he had never met before. But as soon as he arrived he met a great group of people and had the best time!
Beth: My daughter had one of the best weeks of her life in Morzine and has made lots of happy memories. She talks about her time away meeting new people and participating in new activities all the time. It gave my daughter the chance to travel abroad and to gain independence and confidence, whilst having lots of fun and being challenged.
The BeVenturesome Team
What are the team like? Will they be around to help us?
Abbie: All of the instructors were so welcoming and added so much fun into the trip around activities.
Xanthe: The instructors were so kind, fun and supported us every step of the way. They encouraged me on every activity and made me feel safe when being pushed out of my comfort zone.
Holly: The leaders are all very supportive and have helped to make the most of the trip.
George: A big thanks to Henry, Gavin, Graham, Sophie and all the staff! Everyone at BeVenturesome is kind, funny and also professional.
Lilia: All the instructors were really nice. The atmosphere was very supportive when trying all the exciting new activities
Seb: The camaraderie created between all of the people there was brilliant and greatly boosted by the instructors.
Some parent’s thoughts on this…
Hannah: From booking the trip to collecting my son from the airport, the whole thing was seamless and so professional. Graham and his team are warm, fun, and very well organised.
Sarah: As a parent, the trip was superbly organised with constant communication before, during and after.
Melanie: From a parent’s perspective this company was great for peace of mind. They communicated well and were available even on a day off. They had a reliable secure approach to safety. They were also on top of any issues with any individual or generally within the group.
Activities
Are the activities challenging? What should I expect?
Seb: Via ferrata was very fun, if not a little scary and the canyoning was a new experience I would do again.
George: The activities were great, especially the canyoning, and I was more than happy and felt safe to be going out of my comfort zone.
Holly: I have enjoyed all of the activities such as canyoning and rafting as they helped to push me out of my comfort zone.
Abbie: The Canyoning was my favourite activity closely followed by the Via Ferrata and Kayaking. All of the activities helped me step out of my comfort zone and I will definitely look into doing more of them.
Bea: The activities were so good. There is a huge variety and the canyoning, kayaking and via ferrata were definitely a highlight.
Accommodation & Food
Where will I be staying? What’s the food like?
George: The chalet St Marie was beautiful, with great facilities and amazing views. I wasn’t expecting very good food, as that is typically the case with most school-related trips, however the food was phenomenal, with even raclette being on offer for dinner one night!
James: The chalet was beautiful
Bea: The food exceeded my expectations and was a 10/10 and the accommodation was great too.
Xanthe: The chalet was so pretty and the food was exceptional, fueling us for the day.
