Get the Lowdown on Pitsford School’s Epic Ski Trip to Morzine…
February half-term saw Pitsford School students swap the classroom for the mountains, spending an action-packed week skiing with us in Morzine and Les Gets. It was a fantastic week of progression, adventure, and plenty of après-ski fun.
Each morning and afternoon, the group took to the slopes of Les Gets, where 27 beginners of mixed ages started the week getting to grips with the basics. By the final day, they were cruising down blue runs with confidence—an incredible achievement! The higher level skiers hit the snow park and practiced their jumps, and by the end of the week got to experience some black level pistes under the guidance of their instructor Alain!
Seeing the Pitsford students push themselves, support each other, and improve was a real highlight of the trip.

Here’s some video highlights we captured of Pitsford’s ski days…
But hey, It’s not just all about the skiing – we made sure the fun didn’t stop when the ski boots came off. Evenings were packed with awesome aprés activities:
- Ice Hockey: The group cheered on the Morzine Penguins, getting fully involved in the atmosphere and local chants.
- Night Sledging: A 6km descent from sunset to dark—an adrenaline-fuelled experience that had everyone buzzing!
- Alta Lumina: This immersive light and sound experience in Les Gets added a touch of magic to the trip, with glowing pathways, interactive storytelling, and a real sense of calm and wonder.
Whether it was overcoming first-day nerves, mastering a new skill, or simply embracing the mountains, every student had something to be proud of. A huge well done to all of them for their enthusiasm and determination throughout the week. Both teachers and the BeVenturesome team chose special awards for all students.
