For our expedition weeks, we propose a more adventurous way to begin and end your trip – by taking the train.

Travel through different landscapes, navigate train stations and bond as a team during the relaxing journeys on the train – playing cards and sampling a coffee and croissant as you travel. No stress of checking bags in, passport control or busy airport security, just a good old-fashioned train ride.

The wonderful Chalet Flo will be your accommodation for the week. A comfortable, traditional Alpine chalet located just a short walk into Morzine town, Chalet Flo is the perfect place to settle down and relax after a busy, action packed day. 

Sunday – Arrive to accommodation, introductions to the BeVenturesome team and dinner.

Monday to Friday – White water rafting, via ferrata, canyoning, rock climbing, mountain bike exploration day, full day trek expedition day with mountain refuge meal and night walk down. 

Friday – Travel day. Depart accommodation early and arrive back in UK by late evening.

Financial: BeVenturesome is a registered Tour Operator. Funds are kept in a travel trust account with Protected Trust Services

Teacher Responsibility: 

Teachers have overall pastoral responsibility for their pupils throughout the trip. This includes:

• Managing bedtimes, wake-up times, and general wellbeing.

• Administering any required medical treatments and caring for pupils who are unwell.

• Ensuring pupils have valid GHIC cards, visas, and travel insurance.

• Providing BeVenturesome with all required information (medical details, allergies, consent forms, and passport information) when requested.

• Remaining in proximity to the group during activities to support and supervise pupils.

Is it right for my pupils?

Our activities require a good level of responsibility and maturity. To take part fully, pupils should:

• Be able to swim 25m and feel comfortable with their heads under water (essential for rafting and kayaking).

• Have a healthy level of fitness – e.g. the hike is around 10km with 600m of ascent.

• Be able to ride a bike if mountain biking is chosen.

• Meet age/height requirements for some activities: canyoning and via ferrata (12+ years old and at least 140cm tall); high ropes courses vary by height.

• Have a sense of adventure and good attitude – ready to challenge themselves, even if they’re feeling nervous.

We do everything we reasonably can to accommodate all pupils.

Is it safe?

Yes. Every activity is fully risk-assessed, and we work only with highly qualified guides. All staff we employ or partner with have DBS/police checks and are trained and qualified to work with young people. We also encourage teachers to arrange a free site visit before the trip, so they can meet us in person and experience the activities themselves.
